Cardiothoracic Surgery – Band 5 Staff Nurses - Medacs Healthcare

Medacs are delighted to be recruiting Band 5 Staff Nurses to this busy, friendly supportive unit. The unit provides care for patients undergoing a variety of operations in cardiac and thoracic surgery and serves an area covering a population of 2.2 million. The ward contains 28 beds and works in conjunction with three cardiothoracic theatres and an 11 bedded critical care unit.
It is an exciting time to join this large NHS teaching hospital as services are being modernized and expanding. The cardiothoracic department itself is scheduled to move into a brand new state of the art unit in the summer of 2009.
Working within one of the largest teaching Trusts in the UK you will have the potential to develop professionally with an individual induction programme, regular teaching sessions, and a range of courses run in conjunction with the nearby university.

To apply you should be NMC registered, have excellent communication skills and be an enthusiastic team player. A skilled practitioner able to deliver a high standard of care within this specialist field, you will be knowledgeable about the care of acutely ill patients.
